Mix thoroughly by inversion. For whole blood, transport to Lab within 4 hours. If not possible, make platelet poor plasma (PPP) within 1 hour of collection as follows: Centrifuge sample at 3600 rpm for 20 min & transfer plasma to a clean transfer vial. PPP to be shipped in dry ice only.
